Kapsali Taverna

Kapsali Taverna is located in a prime location behind South Bank's iconic pool and beach and also has promises of Brisbane's river views. It's a nice lunch spot for diners not looking for anything too fancy but a nice place to stop and relax in South Bank.

Seared scallop, prawn and mussel salad with garlic and chilli infused vinaigrette

This seafood salad really impressed. I didn't expect the seafood to be cooked so well and the vinaigrette was flavoursome and seasoned well. It had a nice chilli kick to it. I wished I had ordered two servings of this. This isn't a salad you share as you'll end up fighting over the last bit of seafood.

Lamb Souvlaki w. greek salad, pita bread and tzatziki

The lamb kebab was very dry and hard to get off the skewers. It lacked flavour and unfortunately there wasn't enough tzatziki on the plate to help it along the way. Also, the cucumber in the tzatziki was cut too thick and so the dip was more of a side 'mash'. I did enjoy the bread and salad but it wasn't enough to compensate for the extremely dry and tough kebab.

I recommend Kapsali Taverna if you want a light lunch spot in a nice location at South Bank, but don't expect outstanding Greek food.
